bring-thoughts-to-action Bring Thoughts to Action (BTTA) is a non-profit organisation (NGO) based in Kathmandu,Nepal, working on sustainable development and economic fairness of the Nepalese society. Their main mission is to empower communities through creating awareness, educate and empower the people – men, women, youth and children.
BTTA were founded shortly after the earthquake on 25th of April 2015 to give urgent relief to earthquake victims and to build bamboo houses to protect the community from monsoon season.
After the hour of crisis, BTTA are working on many different projects to empower the communities and to create self-esteemed and self-determined societies.
Some of the projects they are currently running are the Juneli Nepal Women Empowerment Program, Clean Street Program, Agriculture and Rural Development (ARD), Kids Empowerment Through Activities Project and there many other projects boiling is the pipeline.
We came across BTTA through a brief encounter with another traveller, Goto-Mah who recognised us from a photo our mutual friend in Bangkok, Toom, had posted on Facebook right before we left Toom’s house to fly off to Kathmandu. Goto saw us on the street of Thamel, came to approached us and told us about what he was doing in Nepal and we told him about what we wanted to do. He then told us about BTTA, gave us a hug and left.
So we went to look for BTTA and finally, after about sometime, managed to locate them and after the first meeting, we just knew that they are the right organisation to collaborate with. Especially after weeks of communicating with a numbers of so-called NGOs here. Finally we found a group that talks to us with passion in their eyes, and not the money sign 😉 So here are the few videos we made with the group.
